Recipe – Pear Crumble

Here is the Pear Crumble Recipe for those of you who would like to try it. Totally adaptable for what you have in your pantry already or need to use up from the freezer.

FRUIT BASE:
I diced up 6-7 pears into an ovenproof dish. Added 4 chopped dates for sweetness and 2 tablespoons water. Stir this all around.

***Substitutes***
Other fruit to use- apples, feijoa, plum, rhubarb, blueberry or anything you need to use up or have as frozen fruit.
Dates can be replaced by maple syrup instead to sweeten.
You could also add spices here like ginger, and/or cinnamon

TOPPING:
3/4 cup coconut
1/2 cup almondmeal
1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
1/4 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/4 cup coconut oil, melted

***Substitutes***
You can replace any of the dry ingredients with anything from the pantry like oats, rice flakes, chopped almonds, hazelnuts or cashews. For the wet you can use orange juice, maple syrup or rice syrup.
Stir all ingredients together and put on top of the base, pressing down gently

Bake 170 degrees celsius for 25mins
