Energy Balls – a snack option

Energy Balls – a great snacking option

Do you get the 3pm slump feeling each afternoon when you have no energy and your motivation wavers? Do you find yourself sometimes going to the pantry or fridge and opening the door, peering in, looking for food you can just grab and give you a boost?

I know how this feels and have found myself staring into the void of my pantry many a time and it never offered me anything! I decided I’d rather have healthy snacks on hand so I wouldn’t be tempted by less nourishing options. I now keep a jar of energy balls in my freezer ready and waiting for when that afternoon energy dive sneaks up on me.

Wouldn’t you like to have a stash of energy balls right there when you go looking. How would it feel being able to grab one and it helps get you through the day? If you have never made energy balls before a Make-Your-Own Jar can help you get started and means you don’t have to search for all the ingredients as they are already packed into the jar for you. You just have to add some wet ingredients which may be peanut butter, vanilla or tahini depending on what flavour you pick. Each jar is $16 and makes around 20 energy balls and means you can have a couple of energy balls handy ready to go.

Each week at the night market, I will have one of the energy ball flavours made up into balls so if you would rather purchase as made balls you can ($3 each or 4 Balls for $10). Or maybe you want to have a taste of what they are like before you buy a jar to try yourself. This weeks flavour will be Tahini balls which are a great option if you don’t like things too sweet and still enjoy some texture in your energy balls.
